New Config File

This config works and the uopload is great BUT i get capped on it and before anyone says dont be stupid yes i do its on 2 different modems and have to change the mac to get it to speed up again. My pc is on 24/7 and i get capped, a friend of mine is running the config and he does not get capped till around 10.30 then he shuts his pc down for the night then all is good in the morning. But for me have to change it everyday to avoid the cap. So to say it has no traffic management is wrong im afraid just no one knows what it is yet!!!

truesay my friend..i get capped on it too..its bull but oh well..i pay for 4meg internet and then ive got this so i just swap over when they cap me..but i suppose what you can do is keep both the modems connected and when one get capped jus disable the nic and enable the other...thats how i keep swapping over...easy!

might it be capping in different areas? i dont get capped at all... downloaded over 40gig atleast 25gig at over 2mb/s and didnt get capped all day

Its not something you can 'share' you have to ether have a cmbus-pkg3-nat-any.cm MAC address or tell your modem to 'force' the config file, which you can do with the ambit config tool. Thats if you have a ambit 250/255 modem. However some areas dont let you force the config file, i have no idea what areas do, just that Nottingham dose.

There's definitely a speed drop with this config in the last 2 days peeps. cmbus-pkg3-nat-any.cm . Anyone else experiencing it? Are VM capping/traffic shaping business connections too?

hi fela's. my modem seems to be gone, no signal. wont connect to the net. what files do i need to fix this. its a ntl 120 modem. thanks for any help

i get like 10-31mb (duno how i got 31 had 92 b4 l0l0l any explanation?) on speedtest mostly near the lower end... but when dling something on multiple connections... its alwayz 2.5mb/s+

btw rathkana are u can u get to ur 192.168.100.1 page? if yeh what is your downstream power level? I've been having problems with that lately... right now its on -11dBmV

If you change the config over to another speed reboot the modem and then change it back again to this config then you get uncapped !! Well it works for me on a 4200i and one of my mates on a 5100i also,.
