Hi Mate,
Welcome to techwatch hope you have a good time here and we will help all we can.

I am sure there is how to somewhere, but it is really easy so I will tell you how to do it.

First you will need to download a tool called DreamUp and install it on your PC/Laptop.
Next thing you need is a nul modem cable, it is a special serial cable, an ordinary serial cable will be no good. You can buy the cables from Ebay, they are not very dear about £5/6 + postage. Southern Satellites should have one so if you PM him he will be able to sort you out. You can contact southernsatellite.co.uk on 01892 833007

When you get the software installed and connect the nul modem cable to the box and the PC/Laptop -if you have not got a serial connection on your laptop you will need a USB to serial adaptor.

Now start the DreamUp and you will be presented with a window, click on the connect button, and you will be told to turn on you box, I forgot to say that you need to unplug the power supply before you start. when you reconnect the box to the power supply you will see a line go across the middle of the window, when it has done that you MUST click on the flash erase button. When the line has gone to the end again you can then click on the flash button.

After you have clicked on the flash button you will need to go to the middle of the window and click on the brouse button beside, you can now go to where you saved the image file to and click on it and it will appear in the address bar next to the brouse button and the image will start to flash to the box . There will be a timer at the bottom of the window allowing you to see the progress of the flash. The total time will be around 9 Mins. The box will erase the flash and then flash from the box memory, please be patient, as it seems like for ever for the box to flash, but it takes around 30 Mins to flash a dreambox 7025 using the DreamUp tool, so your little tiem is nothing compared to it.

Hope that this is of help to you and everything goes well for you. Good luck and please do not hesitate to come back for the extra help you are sure to need with other things.

Very best regards Wez

Hi Mate,
That is very easy, all you need do is to open DCC, click on the temp folder and then FTP the Satan's tar.gz file from where you have saved it to. When you have done this hit the blue button and then install it like you did the EMUs, just highlight the satan's file in the blue panel and hit the green button twice.

Have a nice time looking at all the wonderful new channels this will open for you. Good luck with it and your box.

I would advise you to get the new version of the Mgcamd EMU, it is version 1.30 and install it also.

Very best regards Wez

Hi mate,
Sorry for the confusion, I do not have my boxes connected to the net, so I was talking about manual install of the Satan's key bundle. If you like you can download the Satan's tar.gz file, in the form of a winrar zip and unzip it to a folder and then get the software program called Dreambox Control Centre (DCC) and then FTP the file to the dreambox using the DCC and then manually install it using the blue panel.

Very best regards Wez

If you decide to use CCcam go for 2.0.7 as 2.0.8 has a few unresolved issues with it. It basically keeps going to sleep just when you don't want it to, requiring CCcam to be restarted
