Diablo 2.2, Thinking of getting one.

Ok, I know about all the fuss that the release of the new 2.3 version has caused. But I have seen the 2.2's with a CAS3 interface for £80. Considering a CAS3 costs £50 or there abouts and the 2 CAM's are identical hardware wise I might take a chance on getting one and hope for a 2.2 to 2.3 update.

Dose anyone have an opinion on this? Would be nice to know if I am missing something.

You can still open premiere 19E, TPS and Posat 13E and Digi TV 1W with the 2.2 cam so it should be useful for a few weeks yet.
I personally doubt that there will be an upgrade offered, especially as others have pointed out why spend nearly £90 on the new 2.3 when you can get an older cam for around £35 and if there is an upgrade it will only cost around £20, quite a saving.
The Cas 3 + should be of use for a few years, and the Diablo 2.2 until these packages switch encryption, so it might be good value even without the upgrade, but like anything in this hobby you pay your money and take a chance.

I loaded the lasted underworld to my 2.2 and it worked fine on tps and premiere

just not 1 west

but have now sold it for a good price £50 on ebay and ordered a 2.3

so i got a cheap upgrade in effect
