Yes you can, apart from ITV HD apparently, which is currently a 'red button' channel, and most receivers can't decode the H.222 stream, especially not Sky boxes.

At the moment Freesat is basically 70 or so channels with a new epg front end bolted onto it. ITV HD will only be available on Freesat boxes when it goes properly live in a short while.

All the channels are fta, there are no plans for any scrambled channels in the set up.

SD boxes are retailaing at about 50 quid, HD boxes are 150ish.

Southernsatellite is going to have the Humax HD boxes for £145, in a few days time, that is £5 less than Argos, who don't have any yet. Just thought that I would let you know, if you have not seen his post about the boxes.

Very best regards Wez

Would be nice to get HD free, on itv and bbc. I would certainly buy a freesat box for that. Maybe sky would stop charging £10 a month.

Sod Sly, I would not go back to them for HD, but I was really considering getting that Humax, from Southernsatellite for the football, even for MOD it would be great, and as they are boosting in the FreeSat site, ITV will be showing the Champions League in HD next year. Pity but I won't have it in time for the Moscow game. BTW they announced that the Gers game will be live on UTV, just tonight they said it on the sports in the news.

Very best regards Wez

Our comet had plenty of the HD display (cardboard) outer boxes on display at 5pm this evening. (Well 9 anyway!) So I assume they have them in stock. No SD outer boxes though.
