Cannot upload or download to new Starview the box super

Have tested my null modem cable - have tried using a 3 wire and a full null modem cable to no effect.

Just trying to upload (it should be download) to my pc the channels list but i cannot get a connection to the box.

Are these new boxes locked in some way after they have been modified or is it just my luck to get a hooky box?

Any way of testing the serial port?

hi, i never downloaded anything with my new box ,6 weeks ago. just wired to tv, then did auto-search on t/pest or ex c/w. so far so good . hope this helps, but if not , these guys WILL sort you out, cheers, scouse...

The SV3 sorts the channels for you, no need to download channel list.

have you configured your comport settings ?
go into your hardware manager on your pc and check which comport setting the null modem cable is using then make sure you have the same one selected with the software

Have you used the cable to update any other boxes? silly question I know but if you havent its maybe a settings issue. Also have you been using a usb->serial converter I know people have real issues using these things (myself included until I got mine to work)
