Default No signal message

Hi all,

I'm new tothis site so apologies if i am wrong in posting this here, i did read through the threads but none are on this topic.

Eurovox maxv box came up with the message 'no signal' yesterday, tried to rescan for channels but now it just says 'channel not available' on every channel.

I've reflashed and rescanned but nothing worked, any ideas on what the problem might be or how to rectify it? Kids are driving me to despair!

Many thanks in advance.

Leanne

its also worth checking the v****nmedia site to see if they have any issues in your area..could be a problem at their end...as it was for me

Gaz,

Checked that and there is nothing in my area, i've tried to flash it with the fix for the 8% signal problem and scanned on every symbol rate but each time it says there are no transponders to scan. It's not a cloned box either so i have no idea why nothing will work for it..... does anyone have any ideas before the kids make my ears bleed???

Cheers in advance.

I take it you were receiving all the channels before your problem.
can you check you are still getting a signal by connecting the cable suppliers box

Did you save your channel file before you reflashed
can you get a channel file for your area off a friend or the cdf area thread
which firmware did you flash with
go into Menu/config/system information press OK and see what it says.

Hi Smoggy sorry for late reply!

The box was working fine, all channels coming through ok, then it came up with 'no signal' and i rescanned but it didnt work, flashed it again an thats not worked.

At the minute i have 1.0 STC4 Apr 29 2008, is that right? it also says the model is DVB-XC BoxV TDA.... which im sure it didnt use to say?

robbo is the only one on here i can get a cdf off but he is away and said he will send me it when he gets back, stupidly i didnt save my channel list before rescanning and reflashing.

Serously ready to throw the thing out the window now cos the kids are pestering that much!

It looks like you have flashed with the 28/04 firmware that sorts the 8% problem (you don't need this unless you have that problem).
Reflash with the 18/04 firmware
