hi I have a humax, so how do u change from freesat to STB? ive been into menu can't find, and where is the hidden menu? johnnyr

hi everyone, new to satellites got a humax , could'nt get a strong quality signal ,, but now i'm up and running. only thing is I cannot get channel 5.. how do I get it?

Answer to your first question mate in the menu click on freesat and it will give you an option of nonfreesat. And i dont think you get 5 on freesat.

Five is on the epg,as channel number:105
Try a rescan,after a factory reset.

Newbie Q's.

Can someone explain the difference between Freesat & STB mode?

How many HD channels are now available on Freesat?

When in freesat mode you only get the freesat channels on astra including 3 hd last time i looked. In non freesat mode you can scan and watch other satellites contents such as hotbird etc.

To watch programmes from other satellites I guess I would need to re-align the dish either manually or upgrade to a motorised system.

Not a very good idea realigning your dish every time you want to go to a different satellite mate, you want to get a rotor and motorise your dish, though a bigger dish would not go a miss. You can motorise a dish very easily. Best regards Wez
