Hey,
I have a Pace DI4000-N box and the solderless poo jtag device. Through my laptop ive tried to get the IRD and BK number but have had no luck, using BKE 2.2 it keeps reporting that there's a communication error. Unfortunately my tower doesnt have a parallel port so had to be done using laptop...I did have the MAC_MOT.sys file loaded and running in the background. Any ideas on what the problem might be? The pace box is connected and powered by the mains lead, the scart or coaxial aren't plugged in... |

firstly edit the config in tools, jtag and edit config 1.. i think with the correct byte for your area, if it is c/w check to see if it is still running on 3.5 and put that byte address in to there ..if you connect it on stream while doing it you will get the correct bk

when trying to edit config1 from the tools menu, it keeps crashing out with a runtime error... I do believe i'm in an ex c&w area. Not sure what you mean by 'if its still running on 3.5' and on 'stream to get the correct bk'...
Thanks for the reply |

For a start you dont need to edit the config as the byte location on the pace is the same as it always has been,
Make sure mac mot is running connect your jtag make sure everyting is ready open bke 2.2 choose Jtag>pace4000/4010>connect You should get the bk and ird come up, If not try using samsung debug tool and try that, you can use it on pace as well as samsung. Marc |

Yea programmed a funcard and now have it working! So thanks again for the help with that.
Although I have come across a small issue, if I now switch my box to standby and then back on, it comes up with the following message:- 'Sorry, your smartcard isn't inserted properly...' and that it maybe faulty and to check it... If I then remove the card and reinsert it updates again and then works fine. Any ideas? Not a major issue but slightly annoying nonetheless. |
