I do not have hd as yet, but from following other threads on TW,you will only get ITV HD, via a postcode which must be an English Or Welsh
region EG, Granada or similiar, then you must press the red button, this is the only way ITV will use HD,so you default back to your region when you leave ITV HD, I am unaware of there being another way. Of course in Sth Ireland choose any region except UTV & Scottish(these have not joined HD) The BBC on the other hand are not so bothered(no ads).

Also you will not get the RED button prompt for ITV HD,in the Non-Freesat mode,on ITV.
Only in the Freesat mode.

gets complicated, the best thing is sky boxes dont get ITV HD,so it can not be that bad if it keeps Murdoch out(for the time being).
