Default Dbox 2 (nokia) HELP

Hi guys i'm trying to conect my box to pc network. I allways use my network with my tm 9100 but now for the first time i'm trying to conect my dbox 2 Nokia to my laptop with a router. Using a program FLASHFXP[1] BUT no luck. I've read loads of posts but missing something i'm thinking put Andromeda image on my box because since april lost chanels and i think if i put latest andromeda image i will be able to wach chanels again.
Maybe u can give me the right threads for my problem. Thank you all for your help.
Best regards.

You can find some tutorials from the Private FTA Download links. You should be able to connect it if you can do the TM9100. You could try setting the D-Box to DHCP on, then in the router set a static IP to the D-Box

As an alternative to Lincsat's suggestion I prefer to turn DHCP off on Dbox and simply choose an address via the remote. Because DHCP is off, this address won't change and can then simply be accessed via the FTP client. Incidentally although there is nothing wrong with FlashFXP I have always found that Filezilla gives more reliable results with a Dbox.

I too prefer DHCP set to OFF, only suggested it in this case as he's having problems getting the networking setup

First things first mate, DO NOT PUT THE FILE INTO VAR FOLDER lol

With the FTP program navigate the dbox side to the temp or tmp folder put the file in there and then use remote on dbox to flash the image. You are failing to transfer because the amount of space is not available. The dbox has 16mb of memory, in two partitions, basically the working image uses half and the temp folder is the rest so ftp into var will fail.

Hope this helps

Once the image has flashed press the blue button menu and set your location, reboot box then do a scan You will need to sort the bouquets and services so they are ok for your requirements

Depends on what image you have, there should be soemwhere in the menus, might be diff on your image so look around it will say read partition or write partition,

As a reminder, if you ftp the file to tmp folder it will disappear if you reboot the box

Sorry am in glasgow and only have my own area files its easy tho to scan with andromeda, once its flashed let me know and i will guide you thru it.
