Default Re: Eurovox Quantum

I am also having problems updating my firmware I get a message saying serial error. I have connected a null modem cable from my serial port to the rs232 port on the back of the box, how can I tell if the box is receiving the signal from my pc? I have also tried dhcp to on and saved it the box then says receiving ip address but nothing happens. I would appreciate any help and advice please.
Many thanks.

You have connected it by ETHERNET to your router haven't you - you don't get an internet connection over the null-modem connection.

ok so at current i have a 80cm dish with a dual output lnb plugged into my sky plus box which I want to keep, but would also like to use one of these boxes with hotbird and astra in my spare room, what do I need?
I dont wanna go motorised and dont have the room for a second dish
suggestions?
Thanks

Get a twin feed bracket for your 80cm Dish, put a Monoblock LNB at the centre of the feed and align the Dish for Hotbird/Astra1. Then put the twin output LNB on the offset arm and adjust that for best reception of Astra2 (Sky)
