Hi,
Firstly, my apologies for asking questions that have no doubt been asked 100's of times before but I've been back through loads of posts and can't seem to find an answer.. Just had vm installed and received by brand new SV3 today. Scanned Ex C&W and found 300+ channels but I can only view FTA channels. Do I need to update the firmware or should it work straight from the box? I've also read that I may have to switch th EMU on? How do I do this? Tried pressing Menu and 1570 but no 'secret menu' appears. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Matt |

Yes you need to flash it with the latest firmware as the box comes only FTA when sold. Latest firmware for the SV3 is 7.05, only released in the last day or so.

Cheers jimbo think he will have plenty of traffic since the posting of codes has been banned on nearly all forums. We only have small feedback on the 7.05 as it has only been released.
New tuner drivers have been added but still some complaints regards aspect ratio. |

Hi
Thanks for your replies - I figured it out not long after posting. Flashed with 7.05 yesterday and all is good! One thing I have noticed though - Some channels (such as History +1) are the wrong aspect ratio and too big for the screen. I have a 16:9 Plasma. Any ideas why? Thanks

Connect your box to your PC with a null modem cable, you will need the latest file which is all in one on the GTRom_Super-7.05e Loader (which you can get from bigmaq tool bar should you not have it) make sure the box is plugged into power open the GTRom loader then press download, wait until the download says complete, give it another 20 seconds then that should be it flashed..
