Here is some info on freesat uk for you the main website is www.freesat.co.uk all channels are FTA there is two HD channels BBC HD & ITV HD to access ITV HD you must press the red button when prompted when viewing itv 1 SD when a program is available in HD,

Freesat has it's own EPG and i have a humax freesat receiver myself this can also be used on other satellites and has diseqc controls and can be used with a motorized dish, Apart from the humax the other freesat receiver can not add channels so can only be used on freesat,


Five & fiver & five us will be on freesat very soon (within 3 months) when they get space on astra 2d and will leave their current home on astra 2c this has been confirmed to me by ch5 tech department,

Also for people in fringe reception areas i have tested the bush HD against the humax and the bush has a better tuner than the humax
