Default what are funcards?

Hi,

I'd just like to know a little more about fun cards really and what they do.

I currently have a Eurovox, thats pretty much dieing on me, and i thought i'd try looking into funcards.

so if i get a FC program it and wack it in my VM box, would i reveive all the channels?

YOU DO NOT TOUCH SUBBED GEAR FOR A START
So if the vm box youhave is one you pay for then leave it alone,
If you want something better than the EV (there ****e ) get a kryptview,
If you want to play with vm boxes then you will need some tools,jtag/unlooper/phoenix programmer/poss led simm, depends what box really,
Funcards emulate the rom11 card originally used on cc boxes. Loaded with the correct fileset (flash and exteep) the ext image being the one containing the bk and ird of the box,these are unique numbers for each box without these they wont work.
Have a read up in the novice angel guide or around the forum for an idea of whats what and whats needed

~Well a cableco box uses either rom7 rom10 or rom11 cards to encrypt there services,so a fun card with the emulation files mimicks a rom11 card ,its an alternativce card used to receive pay tv services,
