drop down the front flap on the box you will see 3 buttons, press the top and bottom button at the same time , hold for a few seconds , let go and see if box reboots

Because its not loading properly the network settings will not be kicking in, only way to flash it is with Image flashing Assistant ( IFA ) which does not need the network up and running to flash.

Well i assumed you had a dbox 2 they come either with one chip or two, and look completely different to dbox1's

Do you know what type of box you have? do you need a card?

Sounds to me you have a Sagem dbox2 with 1 x intel chip, if you have had an image flashed what was the name of the image previously on it.

Read this description might help determining if dbox or dbox2 with one chip

The
DBOX (also called dbox1) is an older version of the current DBOX2. It is not as
advanced as the DBOX2 and requires a specific firmware to be installed (DVB2000).
This software is not in open source, and thus cannot be easily changed/amended. It
has a SCSI interface at the back and NO LCD in the front of the box.

Update: some of
the later DBOX1 boxes have an LCD display in the middle of the front panel.
Although these boxes can be modified, a lot of work is required to get them up and

running
