I'm thinking im getting the wrong bk as well. If the bk changes it usually occurs after ive tested the box out with the re programmed fun4 card. And then when i put in the old titanium2 card again to do a pogo test & see what the ird and bk is, that's when it will give me a different bk. Only different on odd ocassions though not all the time.

If you check in eng menu you can see what software version your on 3.5 3.6 etc, that will tell you which byte to use.

Each software version has a different byte location for the box key, thats why you have all different bytes, some c&w areas are still on 3.5 others are 3.6, if the box hasnt been used for a while it could still be on 3.2 but as soon as you connect cable and update it will go to latest version.

you can check the software version by going into engineer's menu I think it is page 20 check there, one more thing I have tried all the bytes and got about six different bk codes but only one of them worked 4me so i would suggest to try them all, what do u got 2 lose. Lol

ok thanks. So ive checked in the engineer's menu yep p20. Looks like v3.6 (3_6v_04 bla bla bla) build date Feb 08. So looks like the most recent build. So what would the next step be from here with the whole byte thing? Trying 6 different codes would be a vacation compared to how many ive gone through so far lol

ok so i tried to enjoy it in sammy debug tool haa.
Pasted that 12 byte address, clicked on 'read' while connected to the box in debug mode and in the display box it comes up with 24 characters. What do these characters mean? These characters somehow meant to help me find the bk?
