Is it possible that a high speed internet package from a set top box or modem could affect the signal strength to your ev? I know I have had problems when I tried splitting my signal to many times as I wanted 4 ev’s but I lost picture and internet . Just wondering if this could be the answer to a few people’s problems.

Yes it is extremely possible especially with numerous amounts of splitters in the line, anymore than two and its likely to start degrading badly ,depending on the strength of the incoming signal to start with,

Strangely, I find my modem runs dead and needs frequent reboots while the two EV split from that feed still playing perfectly (I have a downstairs feed for real box/EV1 and upstairs for broadband/EV2/EV3 with presumably a company external splitter somewhere!)

I personally only have the basic speed, 1 gig I think, through a set top box and 2 ev’s. I have no problems what so ever with signal strength. So I was wondering if peeps with 10gig or more might have problems.
