HELP WANTED!!! dm500s

Hi,

I have a dreambox dm500s and an old sky digital mini-dish. presuming it's at 28.2e. Is there any channels i can receive. And how? Having trouble finding channels...

If your scanning 28.2e and no channels are coming up its likely the dish isn't pointing in the right direction

You will be able to receive over 200 FTA channels of 28e although most of them are the shop for s**t channels

To scan channels you will need to press Menu-> 6 -> Service searching -> Automatic transponder Scan ->

You will then see a similar screen as the one below dependent on the image you have running on your Dreambox. This one is off EDG Nemesis 4.

You need to select the satellite you want and if it locks to the satellite it will show you at the bottom.

You then hit the green button and it should start to scan the staellite for available channels

Hi Nano, Please let me now what image that is you are using, I am getting fed up with the good old Gemini and would like another image to play with, but would like to have the ease of the blue panel and easy loading of EMUs.

The image i'm using is EDG Nemesis which is very stable on both my 500 and my 7020. The only problem with this image is that it doesn't have an emu download facility off the blue button

There is download site where you get the emus from, put them in the tmp folder and install them from the blue button under manual install

This is not a major issue for me as the stability of the image is bang on. I find it more stable than Gemini to be honest

Other good images are Pli Iolite (although this is a bit boring), Powerboard Enigma (Not sure if they do a 7025 image, definately do it for the 500), Puntalone and Puntaltwo, 2Gether stormbreaker, Nabilosat v.08 and Finally SIF

If you need any images for your 500 let me know as i have loads of them I may even see if i can add them to the downloads section

Nanochicken mate,

I note with interest mate, your comment about using edg nem and not being able to download from blue panel. (don't flame me if this is wrong) have you not installed the extra file in the var/ect to enable your to download the cams you want. I am using edg nem 4.1 on iboot for my tm9100. I have no problems downloading all the latest cam and configs from the box. Pm me is you want a link. I would imagine it will be the same file for db and tm.
