I say 'share their knowledge' because the true pioneers of this hack never actually did this for the money .. it has always been about sharing knowledge (and getting one over the big guns ...lol) ... so remember with the 'Refugees' you maybe getting some Old "Head's of State" ... who really know what they talking about and will only help this forum grow bigger

i just make it up as i go along as you know, but i am sure we have travelled to the same places

Not very well thought out that statement mate. Have you ever considered how much the cable providers are losing from their coffers due to the stealing of their services by those in the cable section here and elsewhere.

Ten minutes of stolen services would be 4 or 5 times the cost of the car that was nicked and burnt. Lets face it, the people who are stealing the services offered by the cable providers are costing then millions every month, if someone is found to be an accessory, to this stealing of services, then the law should and will come down very hard on them. In the end theft is theft, there is no other way to look at it.

As for the position of this forum, with regard to this matte,r it is down to the Admin guys and they seem to be happy enough with the way things are at the moment.

Very best regards Wez

That was written before most of the information was in the public domain, simply repeating information already in the public domain is now protected under the freedom of speech section of the EU Human rights laws - of course, persuading the authorities that EU law takes precedence over UK law could prove difficult.

There was a LOT more going on at Modshack than just producing a hackers guide.

I understand that DW and W-O-D have only temporarily closed their cable sections. All-forums and Unlockers appear to be un-affected

There was a lot more going on there at modshack as the complaints was up to 2005 when VM had nothing to do with CATV back then and it was also S*y that made the complaint about that site. S*y are hardly going to complain about cable being hacked are they?
