Mickha and redoxide-info' as requested.I own a Technomate TM-1500+ super. Two years old. I use a null mod cable as supplied by the original dealer. I have a motorised sat. dish. I do not know if I have a working copy of Winrar or Winzip installed in my pc.How do I find out? The pc is just six months old-Windows Vista. I did download Loaders and winzip but as I cocked things up I deleted them(as advised by forum).
As previously mentioned I attempted to follow instructions from Dummies guide and discovered I am a dummy! Would appreciate a step by step guide for the procedure as in Dummies guide but simpler still. When I purchased the set up the dealer said it was dead easy...ah,ahh...
I have a rough gist of what is required but somewhere along the line I'm making the procedure complicated. It is really great that helpful folk like yourselves exist and I certainly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

You need the loader software and the box software, both come in Zip or rar formats. Just download them from the net and unzip/unrar them to the same folder.

Then run the loader software, connect the PC to the receiver using the null modem, you need a 9-pin serial port on the PC.

Once connected, select the software TAB, select the software file and click 'connect'. All the details of what happens next are in the sticky in this section.

Winzip and Winrar are very common utilities for compression of computer files, details of these can be found all over the internet.

If you don't have winzip installed, your computer won't recognise a zip file, if it does it will.Mine PC came with it pre-installed (Vista)
