ive found out that my gparents live in a non cable area but they can still get vmedia services by sending the signal down the bt phone line.question is how would that work with a chipped cable box

Find when they get cabled - otherwise no no - it is easy to suss of cable feed out there - street will have been dug-up sone years ago and cables ready.
