V+ box not responding to Remote control - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

Hi new to this but would like some advice. Got a v+ box recently which worked fine but since yesterday the box is not responding to the remote and apart from the reset key, none of the keys are working on the box!

Reset the box several time but no joy. Also forced an update but still no joy! Stuck on BBC 1. The online status is flashing.

Anyone else come across this problem? Box connected to a HD LCd via a scart

yes this is for one of 2 reasons your scart is in the bottom socket instead of the top one or it needs resetting from hdmi mode i have posted somewhere how to do this so do a search for posts by me if you cant find it will repost it

you need to take out the hard drive, format it on a pc then put it back in, wait about 5 mins then all will be ok again... had this happen to me with two v+ boxs, took me a week to work out the problem.....

You can guess what my next question is! How easy is it to remove the HD? What will I need to reformat it?
