i have a tm1000d i have added echostar 110w sat and loaded the lastest file 182 dated 08/05/08 .however i am still getting scamebld chan what am i doing wrong if anything or what should i do?

Not, much you can do, apart from watching the free to air channels. The software as far as I know is for European providers only.

The latest official firmware that you are loading (182) will only open free to air channels. Any scrambled channels are subscription channels.

Due to your location (Jamaica) I'm afraid we have no experience of the availability of channels on 110w, as we can't receive it here in the UK.

what do you mean by only free to air channels. are you talking the preview and information channels only.

FTA channels are channels that can be watched for free. depending on which satellite(s) you want to receive depends on what you'l get. there are FTA movie channels, sports channels, documentary channels, news & loads more too. some in English, some not.

Doesn't look there are any free channels at all on 110W, it's all Dish Network, in Nagravision 3. There should be some other satellites with free stuff on.

There looks like there could be some useful info here for you,
a motorised dish is probably essential though.

101W looks like it has a few with suitable footprints. A few C-band ones as well.

If Dish are in the middle of moving over to Nagra 3 - which they seem to be, the only way to watch it will be to pay for it.
