Default Vertical line

Hi all, Having problems with a faint vertical line in the centre of my 42" toshiba LCD TV, this line is there on most channels but yet on certain channels its gone, ive changed scart leads etc, and even pulled all leads out of tv and turned onto a blue screen but this faint line still appears...Tv is now 14 months old , so up till now it looks like a costly repair job, any help at all will be well appreciated......
