my parents starview 3 has arrived...downloaded bigmaq toolbar...nothing on there about virgin under keys....could any one give me a idiots guide to flashing your box????

go to bigmaq toolbar click on updates/fixes - starview fixes - download starview 3 gtrom v 705e 0705/20008 all will be revealed.

Loading software to The Box Super

• Plug the RS232 lead into the back of the box and to your PC.

• Plug the box into the mains and turn it on. It should display ON, on the display

• Double click the red arrow (GTRom_Super_7.50e) which is the loading software

• Now click The DOWNLOAD button

• Wait for it to finish downloading and to say Download Complete!!

right done that do i tick both boxes or just the one FILE TYPE ...APP FILE ONLY (WHICH IS ALLREADY MARKED....CHANNEL DATA FILE WHICH IS UNMARKED)

after that do i take the original virgin box out and replace with starview?

leave the api thats marked all u do is press download and wait until u see message download completed, yes if u want replace original box then switch on and follow instructions in manual about doing a scan, scan for ur cable provider,when u see so many programs found click ok on remote, press exit until ur out of screen, then press menu on remote then 1570 a secret menu will appear, scroll down to emu switch it to on then press exit several times until ur out again then press 511 then let it update and sports should come on, then u should view all.

hi im new to this, i have done everything said previously but when i open the gt software i am only allowed to use the COM3 serial port (this is on both laptops in my household) and when i click the download button the download box comes up but stays of 0% for ages am i doing something wrong. also where it says turn the box super on and the display should say ON should it stay saying ON or not because mine does not, sorry if thats confusing. thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

When scanning for channels on Virgin you wont find Virgin listed as an option when you scan so dont be worried

Also dont forget to turn the EMU KEY on after scanning and finding channels by entering the menu via the 1,5,7,0 code
