Default Error

I have flashed blade image onto my dbox using FTP.

However i now cant get into the folders as i get the 550 error.

I followed red arrows advice (on the other thread) on how to get rid of this error, i went to the file i want to access and all of it was highlighted green.

I tried using Flash FXP but kept getting error cant connect.

Is there anything im doing wrong?

Is it using a different IP address (as normally happens when you flash with a new image).

Right first things first. Check the ip on dbox with remote, make sure when you are connecting to it that the dbox ip is in range with you computer, ie if going direct lets say dbox is 192.168.0.24 you comp ip should be static and 192.168.0.2 anything below 24 really. If you are goin thru a router make sure ip on dbox is within range of router ip and make sure you dont assign the same ip

Still no joy I presume?

what user name and password are you using, its normally root and dbox2 or dbox

Can you ping the box at all?

And without insulting you or stating obvious are you connecting directly to the box? or thru a router, if thru router type of cable doesnt matter, if directly to the box then you need to be using a crossover ethernet cable.

Yep using a crossover. Using root and dbox as user and password.

Have managed to sort it, used Flashxp after reading the tutorial (was doing something wrong) after getting fed up with FTP.
Transferred my service, bouquet and zapit file to dbox, now running blade with my favourites all installed, no more messing adding favourites. :-)

Thanks for your advice.
