Default a few questions about starview/eurovox users being busted???????????????????????????

a virgin media man came to fix my virgin tv service today, for the first time since 2nd of august 2007, since it was installed, i can now recieve channels 1-5, bbc1-channel5 and recieve the channels that i pay for14/05/08, instead of about 10 crap channels that are spaciously spread about the massive chanel list, its took about 2mins to get to each diferent channel!

anyway, he told me it was the network id, know1 in my area could recieve these channels for that period of time, he told me illegal useage of eurovoxs/starviews in the area also meant that the "system was recieving too much noise because of these systems" and it was afecting every one else, he also went on to say that, the police now have the job of removing eurovox/starviews from peoples homes, Apparntly they know where the "noise comes from and instruct the police" he went on to say one man in sheffield, refused to give up his vox box to a virgin media man and pulled a gun!? so now the polce do it, he said over 1000 have been done over in bradford and halifax is next due to this network id change, now by no means did this virgin media man seem a virgin media entusiast, addmitting sky's alot better, and that he's network id managers who or ever keep getting it wrong allover,

so what do's any1 think or know?
was this virgin geek lying for branson, is branson programing his emploees into putting fear into it its customers!
or are people getting done for this?
my mates had a starview for ages, works ace, all channels free, just requires ocasional update.
