They will most likely disconect your signal and retrieve any of their boxes that belongs to them, as far as cables are concerned, No they will not cut them, they will be left as they are..

they probably wont disconnect anything mate as the bb and tv service come down the same coax line, a slight chance they may remove the splitter and just do a barrel joint to your bb point but that would be easily overcome with another splitter. probably wont happen though as when you disconnect tv they normally will just need box back but any future service tech's will probably remove splitter.

Is it not the case that after a year you then own the box and don't need to hand it back???

Follow these step by step instructions:

1.Give your box to a friend or family and tell them to look after it for you
2.Wire the original box back up, leaving no traces of the other box
3.Call VM and tell them you want to go through with it
4.If your lucky, they will just take your original box and remote control away, and leave the line connected, but if not, they'll cut the line

5.If they cut the line, go to where your modem is setup, follow the white cable wire through, you'll see a VM cable box, open it up, and wire up a splitter to it, connect your cable box to the splitter, voila, done

So funny - my mate had his EV hidden in the kitchen as the police were coming to get a witness statement from his wife. I said yeah that's probably a good idea as they'd probably recognise it as got them at home too!
