Hi mate the technomate receivers are great, and have loads of support. I have a humble technomate 1000d, and its great as its so user friendly. I Believe the technomate 5400 is great kit

Can't get better than a Dreambox mate, but they are not work out of the box receivers and need a lot of work to get the best from them and a good grasp of PC skills would be great help. Hope this is not going to put you off a dreambox, they are basically a computer with a DVBs tuner in it.

Very best regards Wez

I think so, too

If you are interested in computers --> Dreambox is the Best choice
One Multimedia-Machine for all (only 600 Models or above)
but if you only like Watching TV--> get a other one

It's amazing how my trusty old TM5000DAPCI still goes. Yes, I had to update it several times, and eventually had to give up from the 36v motor, but still goes. Oh and you can sometimes find them for around 20 quid on auctions sites...
