Have you changed the network settings on the new image? sounds daft but well i have done this before lol

Vista can be quirky, have not heard any probs using flashfxp with vista mainly image flashing assistant problems.

You do not need to be connected to the internet.

Check these things first.

With windows vista have you changed the ip on computer to a static one?

Vista has 2 ip protocols make sure you set the static ip on the ip v4 part to one below the dbox

What image did you flash because the new images have the updated roms?

Do you have error on channels such as waiting for time or something else?

Have you tried changing ucodes or cams, do not use gbox cam as this does not auto update.

ok the AU means that you do not need to transfer any updated roms etc into the thing, change the cam to evocamd reboot and then change the ucodes. some work better for others, mines was a nokia and prefered to use 001a ucode. 0014 went blank on me after the auto update.

From memory the ucodes are changed under the blue button menu on dbox

keep the dbox on a free to air channel at first while messing with ucodes etc.

Once you have a picture from messing with ucodes move to an encrypted channel and wait for it to clear this should be it, your almost there mate just a few mins should sort it out

Mate dont need to internet to ftp the files since its connected on the LAN the drop out or timing out maybe due to traffic on your network try disabling anti virus and firewall aswell as making sure there isnt alot of computers on the network.

I have no issues with ftp'ing in vista mate make sure you have the TCP/IP configured on the pc and the correct ip setup for the dbox also. Hope this helps
