look in the satellite section mate, there is loads of info there and there are box categories.

now loads of people will tell you what or what not to buy,i myself have a technomate and am waiting on a dreambox.from what i understand they are both pretty good boxs.

just be sure the box you get is capable of recieving satellite signal.

like i am waiting on dreambox 500s,there is a 500c model as well.the s in the number means satellite where c means cable.

you cant get cable through satellite.it is basicly pumped through a cable that is why where satellites use satellites and dish's.

they can both be as expensive has you want,if you want to spend £300 on satellite box you can.if you want to spend around £80 you can as well.

cable boxs are as much as they go for in auction on ebay,or buy it now.

i would have thought,if you cant get lots of channels or cant get what others can get with your current satellite box then try satellite box that will allow you to.

i would have said steer clear of sky boxs (someone can correct me if i am wrong)

there are boxs specialy made that will help you get more channels and thems the boxs to go for.

i only know a little as i got my technomate but,i wont be putting my dish up till today.

even the size of the dish matters when it comes to getting more satellites and therefore channels.

like i said, the satellite section is best for you.

especialy if you are not in cable area.

this is what the virgin media says on there website after i give them my postcode.

It looks like your home is in our analogue area. This means you can get some of our Virgin Media cable services including superfast broadband, over 35 TV channels and great value deals on your mobile or home phone.

what is analogue area, sorry i am asking far too many questions, thanks mate
