Have you updated the loader to version 1.5 (from the Fortec Star website) and installed the latest firmware from the Laurels website?

You need to put the latest version of the firmware onto it. You are wasting your time until you do this.

Clearly thats your personal decision, but I continue to be impressed with the Passion, both in terms of picture quality and tweakability (OK, not as much as the Technomates, but still good).

Like anything, it takes a while to understand the best ways to do things - for example, doing a factory reset before uploading new firmware means that the upload usually works first time. Sometimes things don't go to plan but that's all part of the learning process (and fun)

Your choice, but I'd persist for a while....

Matt

Hi
yes I like a lot of its features, but I dont like reveiws I have read.I know you have teething probs, but this is the second time it has lost all the satellite positions, and now when you tell it to go to a channel it goes straight past the satellite and goes either completely west or east until it hits the stops.

I've seen some good and not so good reviews of the Passion, but in the end its all subjective. If you really don't like it then swap it.

I'd still be inclined to make sure you are using the latest firmware and loader as you should then be able to get ITV HD with ease. That said, I'm not sure where you'll stand with Maplins if you've flashed the firmware, as technically it invalidates the warranty - might want to think your options through carefully

Cheers

Matt
