Here is a step by step way of flashing a Dbox with pictures, hope this may help someone. Don't forget to flash an image with all the AU fixes already done!!IFA version 1.5.6 as the newer version may cause problem
I have my Dbox connected to router via Ethernet cable and firewalls switched off. Power up the Dbox Picture 1. This shows you what you will see when you first run IFA, press next to continue to next page. ![]() Picture 2. This shows you the options you need to fill in. Box 1 put the image you want to flash in here. Box 2 is how you are connected to Dbox may say Ethernet adapter (as you can see mine says NVIDIA etc). As I am connected via Ethernet I left Box 3 set to NO ![]() Picture 3. After you have press start you will get a pop up information bar like this on the screen press OK. ![]() Picture 4. If you have done everything right you will get a pop up on the screen like this one ( I know it's blank but don't worry ) ![]() Now what you should do is unplug the Dbox, wait a couple of seconds and plug the Dbox back into the mains and you should see FLASHING on the LCD screen of the Dbox. Leave it like this until it says FLASHING DONE ![]() ![]() After it has said flashing done either dis-connected the cable to Dbox and reboot or close down the IFA program and reboot. Now depending on which image you have flashed, you need to change the location of the scan, it can be found either with the blue button or in the service menu on some images. Once you have changed the location to where you live you can scan for channels, you should normally find about 33 transponders and over 200 channels. Save the scan once it has finished and your channels should be back on?? ![]() Depending on the feedback I get to this post I may do a step by step with pictures HOW TO FTP or FXP YOUR DBOX???? ![]() P.S I have never had to change the I.P address with this method Last edited by Darrenm72; 25-05-08 at 01:17 AM. |
