hi all,

hoping you can help me. i've installed drivers for the usb to serial cable so i can update the my eurovox with the new software.

when i click on the software all u get is that the receiver was not detected.

ive changed the com posts but still i keep getting the same mesage.

ive tried for hours but no luck.

hope someone might be able to help.

You need to use an rs232 NULL MODEM cable as well as the Serial to USB cable.

Also, try (after hitting download) removing the power cable from the back of your EV and re-inserting it - that sometimes sorts it.

Also, these serial to USB adapters seem to be very hit and miss as to whether they work. They work for some but the exact same ones don't work for others. Personally, could never get mine to work and ended up buying a Serial Port PCI card for my PC.

thanks mate - so so i connect the null cable to the serial to usb cable? and that would work hopefully fingers crossed?
