Default Stand Alone Diseqc Positioner

Hello:

I have setup a 90 cm dish onto a Motech SG2100A H-H motor and had attached it to my PC via aTechnotrend S2-3650 CI USB device that supports Diseqc 1.0 via a STAB MP02 translator.

However, I am not terribly happy with the Stab MP02 device which seems flaky at best and I would like to know if there exists a Stand Alone Diseqc 1.2 positioner I can connect between the receiver and motor that I can use manually to memorize satellite positions.

I greatly appreciate your advice.

Cheers,

David

Hi, sorry I have never seen one.

I may be wrong on this but I thought I read somewhere that the Motecks will respond to Diseqc1.0 commands directly, for up to 4 positions.

Also maybe if you got a really cheap Diseqc 1.2 capable receiver it would help you out, in storing the positions.

Probably your best bet would be to get a twin LNB and then use a Technomate TM5200 (or similar) to control the motor.
