So you want them to make a box which is not as successful as the Eurovox. Glad you are not investing my money

Haha no I want them to make a box which requires some thought to stop every man and his dog from having one.

That was the problem with the Eurovox, it was too easy that any fool could use it

Can't see it happening though

Maybe they could make an Hiroki box and you'd be the only one that could use it (cos it was so complicated) and the rest of us could sod off and pay for cable. Sound like a plan???

Aye it does you tetchy little ****!

What I am trying to say that the likes of the Eurovoxe's have made stealing cable so easy that they have become so wide spread that most people have one now which is why it's forcing the likes of VM to look in different directions BUT when it was less widespread and you actually had to chip/mod official boxes it stayed (for the most part) under the radar of the cable companies and was more of an elitist hobby and you rarely had to worry about the boxes being stopped.

The whole nation is overloaded with these boxes which makes me happy when I see VM catching those who sell the things in bulk.

Although the VM network is being updated in line for 2009 deadline, the current system will carry on for way longer. The new system will require a new set top box, will delivery more channels, and also more on-demand channels. The subscription price will also go up.
The Eurovox, etc.. will still be good going for another 2-3 years.

In my street (in Coventry) they have dug up the pavement from start of road till end. Talking to the workers this morning, they are putting in new cables to support the new system VM will be introducing, and also to enable more bandwith via the system (connect more poeple via one connection).
Although this will give much better tv viewing in the future, and more tv options, the Eurovox, etc will come to an end.
