Channels Not Named

Hi guys,

Hope someone can be of help.

Just had a new image loaded onto my box, i have done the scan and it finds all channels, however they are not named, and in one big long list, i am hoping its just a setting that is out when doing the scan, otherwise i will need to manually rename 300 channels.

Should have backed up services and bouquets before flash then re-added them. you'll need to manually redo them or see if someone could give you copy for your area

When i got my box back from the guy who put the image on it, the channels were all named, but it kept saying "channel not available" so i did the scan and then all names were lost.

Will i need to re name them all manually now??

No mate you may be able to find the files from someone in your area and this will save you alot of time your looking for the

services.mxl and the bouquets.xml once you have them you need to ftp them files to the dbox place the files in var/tuxbox/config/zapit

Obv make sure your dbox has that ip address etc setup already mate. Then once you have that done when you do the scan make sure you change the bouquet part to LEAVE CURRENT.

wot do u mean channel names lost? do u mean their named but mixed?, as u scan the stream from virmin the channel is identified by it's pid which is it's channel name ? wot are u seeing for channels then? the provider info like nopig_13F for sly sports 1....?

Yes mate, thats exactly what i am seeing.

A list of about 300, similar to your example, in one big long list, so as you can imagine its very hard to find what you are looking for.

Any help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Like I said above you need them files for the channels to be in order and in the category's like Sport, Music, Movies etc

I have no idea how to get these files.

Looks like ill need to rename 300 channels manually.

btu can you also sort the bouqet in sport, music etc if you renmae them yourself??

so ur on about a dreambox....enigma img? if you click on the provider id it will show you the channel name which u save......i'll see if i can find a list of providers / channel names for u. if u can flash an img urself then i could send u another img like a neutrino which is more like a dbox.....
