Default Confirm Install settings before I go ahead

Ok.. got the brakets up on the wall and the pole mount vertical as required. .
Just need to clear up the settings for motor.

This is my settings :
Lat:55:50:07N (55.83526) Lon:4:21:21W (-4.35589)Now - i;ve set the motor to latitude 56. (see image)
And i've set the dish incline to 25. Is this correct before I throw the dish onto the motor. Also, I assume the lnb goes is installed as in the 2nd image.
Jeeesus.. I'm flying by the seat of my pants here

Hi mate,
Errm, You got the motor on upside down.

The connectors should be on the underside.

I can't see the motor setting but if it is 56 then it's OK,

As for the dish, I would refer to your manual, but once put on the motor it the dish face should be roughly vertical.

You are going to have to adjust it anyway, once you have sent the dish using USALS to 5W. (should be very close to zero on the motor)

The LNB looks right I think, the connector should point down, once up.
That is an Orbital dish, isn't it?

Robbo

Ok - see where I went wrong. I was watching that youtube vide for installing and their dish motor was like that. Think i'll just attach it to the dish first then put it up - might be easier than stretching over with the dish. Any idea what this is for ?

It's for an LNB with a thin stem.

I have one just like it

You don't need it for the standard 40mm neck LNBs.

Damn. I think I overtightened the collar round the lnb - one side of it has cracked at the screw. Still seems tight right enough. Will stikc the dish up tonight hopefully.

Joe.
