Hi all, I am really confused as to what type of box I am dealing with, and was wondering if some kind sole could help me out before I brick a m8`s box.
I have a bit of experience with Dbox2`s and so far the information I have gained from the site regarding Eurovox`s has been brilliant. As far as I can tell , the box was purchased about a year ago. I have read through the tutorial`s but I am undecided in whether it is a black or blue box. The tuner is 12 slot`s long , the scart cover is very shiny, there is the row`s of green capacitor`s and the cables are separated not joined. This lead`s me to believe it is a real blue box or a real black box but, I am unsure. Thanx in advance . |

From the sounds of things it a blue box. You get the red box or the newest eurovox is the eurovox max v but since you said you got the box a while ago it sounds like its the blue eurovox mate

Sorry guy`s but I have just d/loaded the blue firmware to the box and scanned for channel`s on 6.887 for N** I am now trying 6.952, but I am not picking up any Transponders or channel`s obviously.
I don't know if I mentioned this but the box is a Eurovox Max , would that make a difference to the type of firmware. I used UFL__MAX_Blue_21_04_08. After the power scan is complete , it reverts back to the User Installation window. The Quality bar is going between about 0% and 30% but all other boxes are empty. Sorry for being a complete newb , theres probably something stupid I am missing here. Just to check the cable feed goes into the antenna port on the back of the box the same as a Dbox? Thank`s in advance guy`s. |

Just read that the cable feed go`s into RF in , that`s possibly what I have been doing wrong. Running a Powerscan just now and it seem`s to be taking longer to go through each Frequency. Hope this does the trick

After installing new firmware tonight and scanning I have picked up a host of channel`s that were not on the box b4 "allegedly". ( I am doing this for a m8).I think there`s only about 3 Sly Movies I will take time to read all the post`s and see if there is a fix for this issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated m8
