can any one help me to the Haynes Guide to Cable Modems i nedd to enter a new mac address

Well my friend the bloke i had to do the modem for me as let me down , i have spoke to him and he says that he has to change the mac address but hasnt got time, so i need to do it my self but havent gor a clue will this guide help me or not

u will have to find out what software is on the modem, 1st

type 192.168.100.1 into your browser and post the results here if it asks for a password try these
Login: Infinite
Password: SetValue

u r modem not flashed u neet flash modem with infinite software b4 u can change mac

Can any help me to track down software to update my modem i've been told i need infinty and also a sniffer prog to trace mac and 1 more thing i was told that i need to change my password on the modem hoy do i do that?
