N*L box update problem

i am in virmin area and i have 2 pace n*l 1000 boxes .neither of these will update to vir*in. i have tried libdebug with red jumper i have tried force update and nothing seems to work.i have noticed one of these units has had the chips removed from the sim module the other has not both units do same thing they will boot up but the epg menus are blank is there any way to get these working again? i also have another 1000 unit here with
no atmals on the main board i can see they have been removed. and it
appears that they have been installed on the sim module.the really weird bit is. if i put this sim module into either of the ntl units they will boot up and work but the bk and ird is used from the sim inserted and not what i have read from the units with led sim . does anyone have the info on this mod or advice on how i may be abled to get these units working again

What area are you pre virgin ?as boxes must be ex cw with ntl on them, are you in tw area ?

yes i am in south west uk .pure vir*in area and i have had n*l boxes that have updated no problems before now

no ntl boxes should work in tw areas, there is not a thing as pure vm! vm is just a name.
