hi there ive got a ntl amnit 250 modem on a 2mb speed at the moment im wanting to chip it so that i can get a higher speed about 20mb.but the thing is that i dont know where to start from or what ill need. can someone please help me. help will be much appreciated. thanks |

yeah it is but i had a look at other posts aswell after starting this thread and they say the same aswell '' not to mess with subscribed stuff ''
what if i get a new modem and use that instead of the one ive already got? would that work and be ok??? thanks... |

the programmer u need is an Willem 4.5 Programmer (EBAY)..
![]() and has for the Modem (EBAY)... ![]() U can either use the Ambit 200, 250, 255.. ![]() Not Sure if Earlier Versions of Ambit's Will be able to cope With 20megs?? ![]() |

ok so all i need is a programmer and a modem from ebay.
i was told that ill need a rs232 cable aswell.. will i dneed that????????????/ and what will i have to do when i get all this???? thanks |

U will only need the Programmer if u have a Bricked Box to reflash the chip, then once reflashed connect the Max232 cable to it write the firmware to it, then use AMBIT TOOL to set all rest off settings IE: mac, tftp, configs etc?? ![]() |
