latest Fortec downloads.

Hi
Is anyone else having problems with the Passion receiver since downloading the latest software from Fortec site.My box is now acting up on a daily basis and even resetting is not curing problems.I know Fortec are useless with support so its no use trying to contact them.It now has me so frustrated I am thinking about changing receivers despite only having this one 2 months.

There are a lot of problems with this box mainly both film 4 channels, channel 4 and all channel 4 channels as well as itv2 men and motors, it is a jerking motion and at time the audio is out as well Fortec Star keep saying nobody has complained about it so try i sent them emails with copies of complaints from various sites, they finally said that it was a software problem and that they are working on it.

As well as the box keeps resetting when selecting another channel at times

Even tried Maplins as that is where i bought it but all they could say was return it and we will send it in for repair, my reply to them was how are you going to repair it when fortec don't have a remedy for the problems that they say nobody has.

Have had mine now 6 weeks giving them another week then taking it back for my money back.

Me get the money back stay away from Fortec buy technomate

Good luck with the Maplin thing,I was told once you stick that usb stick in the front you invalidate the warranty.

It does, but Fortec sent me an email instructing me to install the upgrade and after checking with the local consumers office, they effectively gave their permission for me to do the upgrade myself . So tough for them .

I haven't installed the latest Fortec updates FOR THAT REASON. Mine works fine as it is, and I have the channels I want so no need.
If you download and install the latest software you have to do a factory reset afterwards and although you can do a channel save before doing so you still have to re-do all your 'favourites' and in my case that is 7 favourite lists each with 30 - 40 channels on - so I can't be arsed!!!

I'm not gonna fix what ain't broken...
