I am looking at booting sly and getting a 'DigitAlb Super Sports Card'. I only watch sport etc. I watch Premiere through patched receiver which is really good but am worried next season Premiere looks like going. Do I need to but a CAM also or will the card work in my receiver in the slot provided?

The card should work directly in your slot. I have a TM1000 and the general/movie package and it works fine.

You need to know that after a short time the cards are going to be paired to a box and the boxes that they are going to use are crap, I am not very well up on this situation, but Robbo can fill you in on it, just be careful is all I am saying. It has also been reported that they are going to massively increase their prices soon, might have even started for all I know.

The box pairing is only for the Mpeg4 and HD channels and is already in place. At this moment in time ,officially the only boxes that can be used are the Kaon ones sold in Albania for DigitAlb. As yet, these are not available to buy outside Albania. Darkman says that hopefully a solution will be available, which probably means having to buy a Kaon box, but it has not been very clear.

Apparently though the cards do work in the Diablo CAM, if I have understood correctly ( for the HD channels).

Also some older cards also work OK with the HD channels.

I'm guessing they will have a work around for the darkbox hd and probably the technomate hd boxes.

Are the sports channels on digitalb broadcast in HD at the moment? And if not are there plans in place to make this happen?

Sports are transmitted in both SD and HD. I dont think the SD channels will be stopped any time soon because there must be a lot of subscribers who will only have SD receivers and wont be changing to HD.

I see, so is it a case of waiting for a patch for the technomate, or waiting for the boxes only available in Albania to become available here?

I ask this as I would like to receive the channels in HD, as I have a HD TV, so ideally would like a box which an pick up this content

Yes, at the moment there is little information available. There are adverts for the HD channels on the TV, but unfortunately thy are in Albanian.

W'ell just have to wait to see what DM or anyone else for that matter comes up with.
