Default how to fix a stuck sony dsc-w55 lens?

Hello,
The lens of my more than 1 year old sony dsc-w55 camera won't go back in. When i switch it on...it tells me error...and that i should switch off and on. i've done it a bunch of times....no go.
The lens is stuck...any ideas how i can fix this?

After you turn the power on and the lens comes out, gently twist the outer shell of the lense counter clockwise to lock it in place. The mechanism is not rotating the lense counter clockwise automatically. You will have to do this every time you want to use the camera unless you get it repaired

I have a similar problem.
I turn on mine and the lens constantly opens and closes while the screen says access.
I can view photos taken before but i cant take any now.
There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with my battery, the power is fine.

I hadn't used it, but my sister took it out and her friend spilled her drink on it.
I think that may have caused this but, its been used after that and worked fine, but would it still be the cause of the problem?

I've had it since christmas, so less than a year.

send it back to s*ony with a recipt, as long as the date shows its within 1 year old they will fix it. i can provide an address if needed.
you may need a scanner and printer if you know wha i mean,
