low signal strength

can anyone please help. I have a dbox and get all channels except
for some reason sky sports 1,2 and 3 and a couple of other channels
have decided to go on strike! Iv checked all the connections and everything seems ok. Iv even tried my mates box at my house and it`s the same on his. He told me to rescan the box which i did and now
ive totally lost sky sports 1,2,3. But before i re scanned i checked the signal strength on the blank channels and it was showing around the 29000 mark. Im told this should be around 60000. What do i do? How do i increase this signal strength.

Are you in a digital area or analogue? (you can check by putting your postcode in Virgin's site) I'm in an analogue area so can't get all the channels. If it's a digital area, it'd be worth doing a background scan or a slow scan to see of that picks them up.

if present take out any splits and connect the box directly to the incoming cable feed. if ur box is ok then u need a booster, the best i've found is the 'yellow brick' KONIG Professional Antenna Amplifier......i' 12-30dB Gain with slope and gain control adjustable therefore shouldn't amplify the noise as most cheap boosters do.....

m8 this happend to me yesterday i rescand and totaly lost a few channels, so i reflashed the box rescand and wala all is perfect again.....so just reflash ure box m8:
