Various Starview Questions

Hi all I have a few Starview Questions (8) for various Boxes I have.

Question 1
I have 3 x Starview 3 boxes in the house, all boxes are well ventalated and have newest software installed. For some reason the boxes randomly reboot, when the do it makes you jump if you have volume up loud etc, what causes this?

Question 2
I have 3 boxes chained together ie:

Main signal--Box Super--Box Super--Box PVR

Boxes 2 & 3 get really poor signals, how can i resolve this, whats best to use here? A splitter or booster & also where in the chain should I the splitter or booster?

Question 3
On the Box PVR the hard disk is always active (hot and noisy) is there an option to turn it off or spin down when not required or is this option coming in a future firmware?

Question 4
How do i play mp3 files on the Box PVR what Directory should they go in?

Question 5
On the Box PVR and Box Supers can the logo.bin file be changed to a different image? (my Mum would love to see my Daughter insteag of that logo)

Question 6
Is the Starview Channel Editor due for an update (it's been ages).

Question 7
I have another Box Super that doesnt recieve any signals etc, it has the latest firmware etc but doesnt get any channels on any network NTL/C&W (others do) what is wrong here?

Question 8 When I record using the BOX PVR I wondered if it was posssible to connect up via USB and put that file on my PC. Does a media players exist to play those files?

1 common fault (take beater blockers for your jumping problem)

2 you could try booster i have four in link & they all get good signal so you might have weak incoming signal.

Dont know rest not got pvr

box not working try factory reset if that fails try reboot of software

1. By Beater Blockers do you mean the things for motor cross bikes or were u being a funny sod and reffering to the womens product?

Main Signal--3 Way Splitter ---Then Boxes (DO THIS FIRST)

Box Super--Some people are reinstalling old 601 firmware because not happy with 705

I have had the problem with the reseting no matter what firmware I use 805/601

I went out and got a 3 way today and it has solved my problem for question 2 (thanks for the advice Johnpc)

Also solved Question 7 myself by testing the box again to after I had repaired the signals.
Just left with help required for the remaining questions, which are :

How do I play mp3 files on thebox ive pu the mp3 into a directory caled mp3 on thedrive and ican see them in the box menu - they look like they are plying but i get no sound?
