just got arnet 700c flashed new software but unable to display net ids,at the end of tether with this box it will be going into the bin

Do a full factory reset, then rescan following the tutorials on this site and all will work out fine,

How did you do the flash...The correct way is to set up the box with the Pc but dont power the box up at the start..start the loader and when you press download, now power up the box, wait antil complete appears, wait another 20 seconds to make sure
