Does anybody know of a way to see if talk bk is disabled via the eng menu... only reason i hav a pace 1000 and the middle light is not flashing

If it's not flashing then tb will be cut. not sure if it can be checked in eng menu but you could open box up and check that the tracks been cut.

Just press On Demand, Interactive or Help on remote control. Get error, tb cut.
Settings menu, technical stuff, return path off = no tb.

try on demand it should tell you that this service is not available if talkback is cut

But normally they flash.

I know in a subbed box the light stays on.

But in a mod box it should at least flash or even the light should come on once (the light does come on on start up hence meaning that it is still working)

This is a strange one...

well seeing that it says reverse path off and interactive doesnt work , i think its pretty safe to say that TB is off.

Just one point to note, sometimes your interatctive service is not available because of a fault with VM. You get this sometimes on a gen subbed box so you will not be 101% sure as someone asked above!
