Question moving to menorca

new member and probably in wrong section but woulkd like to know what smallish dish and box system can i take to menorca and what is a reasonable price. thanks stuart

Hi,

Yes there are too many variables at the moment, as you could spend anything from £50 for a full 80cm FTA kit from Maplin, or a couple of hundred or more for a motorised setup.

Were you hoping to receive the UK channels, or were you OK with just the foreign ones?

For a start stuart, i would buy the dish out there, instead of lugging onto the plane.

For UK Sky reception, you will need at least a 1½ metre dish - and you'll still lose the ITV and channel 4 channels after about 8pm each night.

You should not have much trouble tracking down an English satellite installer on the island and, obviously, sourcing the dish there is easiest.
